Origins of the Divine Spark IN

The Divine Spark IN was first introduced in June 2017 by Ms. Masami Saionji, Chairperson of Byakko Shinko Kai, an international grassroots organization working for world peace and spiritual development. 

Byakko Shinko Kai was founded in the 1950s by the late Japanese philosopher Masahisa Goi, who introduced the universal message and prayer May Peace Prevail on Earth. Today, under the leadership of Masami Saionji, Byakko continues to further Mr. Goi’s vision of world peace through prayer, holding peace prayer events and offering accessible spiritual practices that elevate both the individual and humanity as a whole. 

Since the 1980s, Byakko has held large-scale peace prayer ceremonies at Fuji Sanctuary, a beautiful outdoor sanctuary set in the foothills of Mount Fuji. Here, thousands of people gather every month solely to pray for peace throughout the world. Since 2005, Fuji Sanctuary has been the global home of the Symphony of Peace Prayers, an international event for world peace and interfaith harmony.

Evolution of the IN

The first INs were introduced at Fuji Sanctuary in 1994 and 1996, respectively. These “Divinity INs”, known as the Divinity IN for the Self and the Divinity IN for Humanity, are powerful tools for affirming the divine nature of ourselves and all human beings, and over the years they have assisted tens of thousands of people around the world in achieving greater peace, happiness, and harmony in their daily lives.

Now, after years of dedicated practice, the time has come for the Divine Spark IN. Where the Divinity INs are longer and more complex, the Divine Spark IN, though deep in meaning, is a simple IN that can be learned quickly. Its purpose is to awaken the spark of divinity that lies dormant inside each and every human being. In addition, the Divine Spark IN helps to bring into harmony the opposing energies that are present within us, represented by the divine masculine and feminine. It is a practice that can be adopted by millions of people around the world, and one that is deeply needed in our present world.

As more and more people reconnect with their innate divinity, a flurry of wonderful ideas, projects, and developments will begin to flourish in all fields of society, from politics and business to the arts and sciences. In this way, we will prepare the grounds for a new human civilization.
